The Emergency Response Service (ERS) provided by RSSL is a unique, fast analytical service for the food and pharmaceutical industries.

Depending on your requirements, it can offer you priority access to a range of RSSL's services, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year providing a fast turnaround.

Membership of the ERS has proved invaluable to many of our clients enabling them to manage unforeseen product contamination problems.  The service has deal with in excess of 8,000 product contamination emergencies, such as, serious customer complaints, manufacturing problems and product tamper.

The system offers clients a choice of a fast service depending on their needs:

• Platinum Level offers members priority access to a range of RSSL's services, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year (all other services being available during working hours) via an out of hours contact procedure
• Gold Level offers members priority access to all RSSL's services during working hours

A single membership fee covers all operating sites and subsidiary companies.

The Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) is a system which has been in place since 1979.  The purpose of the RASFF is to provide the control authorities with an effective tool for exchange of information on measures taken to ensure food safety.
