OPERATING ENVIRONMENT:

Town of Huntington Beaches

There are eight town beaches:

  1. Crabmeadow         -Waterside Ave., Northport
  2. Asharoken             -Asharoken Ave., Northport
  3. Hobart                   -Eatons Neck Rd., Eatons Neck
  4. Centerport             -Little Neck Rd., Centerport
  5. Fleets Cove           -Fleets Cove Rd., Centerport
  6. Crescent                -Crescent Beach Dr., Hunt Bay
  7. Gold Star Battalion -West Shore Rd., Huntington
  8. West Neck            -West Neck Rd., Lloyd Harbor

 The beaches are open from

  • May 24, 2008  through September 1, 2008
  • 8:30 AM to 8:00 PM
  • Seven days per week

Lifeguard protection at all beaches except Crescent Beach ( see below) from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm Daily

Crescent Beach  Lifeguard Protection, 10am to  6pm, weekends and holidays - May 24 to June 29, daily June 30 to Aug. 1, weekends and holidays Aug. 2  to Sept. 1.

Fees: The Seasonal beach permit is available to residents only. Permits are available at beaches starting May 24, 2008. Vehicle registration and drivers license required. Seasonal permits must be affixed on right side window by attendant. These permits are nontransferable and are required on each vehicle.

Senior Citizen Seasonal Beach Permit,  Residents 60 and 0ver issued at No Charge at Centerport Beach. Vehicle registration and drivers license required.

If a resident chooses not to obtain a seasonal beach permit for their vehicle, they may take advantage of the daily vehicle parking fee upon showing identification.

A Non-resident may use the beaches by purchasing the Non-Resident Daily. These daily permits are sold at all beaches.

All groups  visiting any of the beaches must have a permit issued by the Parks and Recreation Office. Please call 351-3089 for information. 

Seasonal Resident Beach Permit      $25.00

Boat Ramps

There are five town ramps: To use the ramps residents must purchase a seasonal beach permit and a seasonal ramp sticker. Non residents may use Mill Dam Ramp only and pay a per/launch fee of $20.

Non-Resident per launch(Mill Dam Only)               $ 20

Resident-Commercial Seasonal*.                            $ 150

*Payable at the Parks and Recreation Office, Town Hall.

Car Top Launching

Car-top launching will be permitted at the following locations:

*West Neck Beach

Mill Dam Ramp

*Centerport Beach

Hobart Ramp

Asharoken Ramp

Cold Spring Harbor Boat Ramp

Trailers at beaches only permitted at Asharoken and Hobart Ramp locations. Commercial operations permitted at Mill Dam Ramp only.

*No motors allowed.
