 01 Wolfs trunk won't open/Keyfob won't work (Jetta/mkiv/mk4)« »

A few thing before I go ahead and start rambling about my problem:

Trunk: The latch mechanism is intact (so the little plastic thing on the metal plate is fine.) I can open the trunk with my key but the wireless and the trunk release button inside the car won't work.

Keyfob: I followed the procedure to increase the range only to get the opposite and entirely eliminate it. So I now open the doors with my key. I went back and undo the procedure but nothing changed. Procedure is here:

So now, I am not sure if they are related. I think they area since the trunk problem happened after the keyfob thing.

I thought about the comfort module, but all the widows operate, the lights come on when the door opens, the alarms activates when I lock the door using my key, the mirrors move, etc. except what I mentioned above.

Just wanted to ask and see if anybody had this problem before.. Can the comfort module go halfway bad or 1/4 bad?

Do I need to reprogram my keyfob? Did I burned my trunk electronic actuator? Who knows...

I'm thinking about checking the voltage going to the trunk actuator this weekend. but I also need help from someone that knows what voltage I'm supposed to see.

Anyways... very irritated. I guess this is the last time I mess with the electronics on my car...

Perhaps the trunk relay? I am not sure which relay this one is... there is not enough info out there (that I have been able to find)

Anyone know which relay operates the trunk? Picture, diagram.. anyone?
