medical_childrenCDCA is inviting you, (along with 1,700 child care care programs that care for and educate 73,000 children in our community), to an event where you can learn about valuable resources in your community, and have fun while doing just that!

I'm sure you all are aware of the worsening budget outlook for the state that is threatening funding for programs serving our most vulnerable children and families. A $7.4 million cut to child care assistance in the House FY'11 budget is of particular concern to programs serving low income children.

Young Children and the Census - Missing in Action!
Help Make Sure Every Child Under Age Six is Counted!

The Decennial Census is the most important data collection activity conducted by the Federal Government.  The results of the census are used to establish funding formulas for a multitude of programs including many of the programs provided by Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies.

This year's Child Abuse Prevention Month theme, Inspire Change, is a call to action for all of us to change the way we think about the prevention of child abuse and neglect and focus on actions that protect children right from the start that so that child abuse and neglect never occur.
