The Calistoga Cool Wine Tour ^SM package includes:                                        

b Bike Rental - Comfort bike, helmet, picnic or wine bottle rack bag, map, & lock

b Wine Tasting Education (if desired)

b Concierge Service (book tasting and lunch reservations, massages, dinner, etc)

b Free Tastings - we pay you tasting fees at local Calistoga Wineries on the tour

b Wine Pick up - you buy the wine, we'll have it waiting for you at the shop on your return.

Description

Our self-guided tour is geared toward you, personally. We give you all the tools we think you may need to have a great day in the peaceful Calistoga vineyards and wineries and then send you out on your own to explore.  No groups of strangers or overwhelmed tour guides here - Your own personal check-in time between 10:00am and noon in our new Calistoga Cool Wine Tour^SM Center - or, "Wine Hut" for short - will ensure that we have plenty of time to help you set up your day.  We even make reservations at spas and restaurants for you if you like!

First, we will provide an overview of the different participating wineries in and around Calistoga, and together we will choose a route to meet your wishes and expectations. In addition, if you like, you will also get a short, fun, educational piece on the art of wine tasting.  A wristband will alert the host wineries that you're coming from the bike shop and entitle you to free tastings.  Local delis are nearby for you to choose your own delicious  picnic lunch, and we'll let you in on the best winery picnic areas.

The ultra-comfortable bikes you will be riding - Jamis Commuter 3.0s, to be specific - are selected to fit to you well and are equipped with a map and custom-made wine bottle carrier or insulated picnic rack bag.  While you can carry up to four bottles of wine per rack pack back from the wineries, we also pick up any wine you purchase before 4pm and have it back at the shop by 5 - you don't need to do a thing - we take care of all that.

Typically, our customers return to the shop between 4:00pm and 5:00pm when the wineries close.  This is a good time to end this part of the day anyway if you still want to fit in that massage or a short nap before dinner - after all, you're on vacation!
