Currently, we don't get an accurate picture of how are used our networks, which computers are consuming most of the bandwidth, in which proportion, at what period of the day. This deficiency could be satisfied with the traceability of data exchanged between all computers communicating over the networks. From this knowledge, we could focus our efforts on real causes of bandwidth soaring. In the end, networks cost would be better controlled.
In this paper, we present an eye-opening look at ways to improve your IT infrastructure at its most fundamental level. With the right strategy, you can not only do more with less, but you can deliver clear, credible business returns.
Failure to adopt modular standardization as a design strategy for Network-Critical Physical Infrastructure (NCPI) is costly on all fronts: unnecessary expense, avoidable downtime, and lost business opportunity.

We are in the planning stage of a new building. I am putting together the specs for my data centre in the building which is a manufacturing facility. Nothing big, just three servers, switches, etc. Now I am being asked for A/C requirements, room location requirements and power requirements. I am leaning to a second-floor location towards centre of building because of wireless access points in high ceiling of manufacturing floor. Separate A/C control for the room. Recommendations would be appreciated.
I was trying to configure a WRT54GL radio to be a client. I successfully got into the box using the default address, but I discovered that there was no interface for me to choose a client option. I tried to flash it so that I could update the firmware but it denied any update. How can I get around this problem so that I have this radio running as a client?

Firewall vendors are an obvious offender, as they possess a certain proclivity for shipping firewalls in a default allow state with regard to outbound traffic.
Since the ISA firewall represents the industry standard for Unified Threat Management (UTM) devices, it only makes good sense that you replace those stateful filtering firewall/VPN gateways with an UTM device that sports both stateful filtering and stateful application layer inspection engines to protect your OWA sites. We always recommend that you switch over from your third-party stateful packet filters and use the ISA firewall’s advanced stateful filtering and advanced stateful application layer inspection features to protect OWA. This article will show you how to turn your OWA publishing dreams into a reality.
